So. Here’s my bank’s current stock of repos.

What’s the least worst choice here? The Forte, right? Gotta be the Forte.
The ‘80s-est car of ‘80s cars for your time.

A Silver Spur with 65K on it and “wear and tear” for 25K has to be a good use of money.

I think the fact that a CU helped someone buy a Roller might go against the CU’s entire charter. But that’s just me. Conversely, anyone using a CU to finance a Roller is a red flag.
I worked at a small-ish community bank years ago and we had a few Ferraris on the books. They were 80s models and because of the age and rarity, the APR was like 15%+. But still, people did it.

Yeah, none of those look especially appealing . They certainly aren’t liquidating them. Given that all the cheap ones are bad, if I had to pick one, I might pick the Altima over the Forte.

Well, I didn’t join the CU because of an auto loan. I’ve been a member for a while, and I know that they’re easy to work with and would give me a good rate. I know that they wouldn’t sell off the loan either.

I can't lie. The Oppo in me is screaming about owning a Rolls.

Same here — I went with a CU rate that was higher than Honda offered me because I wanted to keep it local and deal with real people. CUs will always work with you if you need a restructuring, have a job loss, etc.
(From the original post,
I thought you meant you worked there)

A neglected Spur might cure you of that desire.

Dang, 15%? Five or six years ago, that might not have been too bad if you bought a 328 and sold it right after they doubled in price. But that is insane. Almost cheaper to put it on a credit card haha

Drive!

Yep, and that’s a person with decent credit. A person with bad credit would pay 15% on a mainstream late-model car.
Financing and insuring expensive classics is...expensive.

My financing wasn’t too bad. And my insurance is really cheap, for some reason.
I can’t imagine paying that much in finance for a mainstream car. But you hear about it all the time. There really needs to be an adulting 101 class that you have to pass with an B or higher grade in order to graduate HS. Or something. People should be told this is a bad idea haha

WHY DID THEY CHANGE THE THEME IN THE SECOND SEASON? Drive was perfect!

Those opening bids seem a little... optimistic.

Forget the Roller. What sort of malcontent okayed a Fiat?

I want to like the Coyote, but I just can’t get past all the funky wheel spacing issues on most of them . A good set of inner fenders would help it look less obvious, but most of them need some serious suspension work to look right. Here’s what they should look like:
Isn’t that better?

Prior to 2000, big wheel gaps were the norm. I imagine that with all the stuntwork done for a TV show in 1983, the extra suspension room was a must.
The cars you posted, no doubt, are personal kits that the owners “adujsted” to look better. And I agree, with the wheel wells filled, it’s definitely prettier, for sure. I would have done the same.

I like how the tach had a prancing pony on it. It's red, therefore it's a Ferrari, right?
